This afternoon I was thinking of a problem real hard. But I step back and realize that I was just wasting time. The problem I had was not an important problem and it is not something that I should be spending time on. I realized that as I get older I find that what I spend time on becomes more important to me.
I am not interested in a lot of things I thought I was interested in. At the end of the day doing anything well requires focus and spreading oneself too thin results in problems being solved haphazardly and badly. To counter that I am getting rid of things as opposed to working on them or even spending time thinking about them.
