A person can only be good at a few things. They can learn a lot and connect a lot but they will only be great at two to three things. It may make sense to share these other things for fun, as an amateur but what you put out into the world must be amazing. It can’t be subpar, it can’t be meh. It has to be something you are exceedingly proud of.

To do that means removing distractions. It means focusing on a few things at a time. It means understanding that you can’t monetize everything. Some things are for yourself. They are made for you only.

What I am professionally is one thing a backend engineering entrepreneur. I do other minor things but I am not primarily focused on those things.

Kill things and outsource them or get rid of them all together.
